Reachout Youth
ReachoutYouth operates inside the Winnebago County Juvenile Detention Center, helping to prepare incarcerated young people to stay in school, off drugs and out of gangs. Through age appropriate classroom-based teaching and 1-on-1 pastoral guidance and coaching, we aim to get at the heart of what drives a young person to commit a crime.

I was back in again. My 6th time. I was 13 the first time I came to the detention center.
This time I checked out a class with these two dudes named Dave.
They talked to me. They didn't judge me. They listened.
They made me feel like I could make it. Like I could leave her and never come back.
